Founded in 2000 by scientists from the Korea Research Institute of Standards & Science-KRISS,
Hagisonic Co., Ltd. develops ultrasonic sensor and module for industrial and medical use. Industrial
ultrasonic transducers have been our cash cow and we are an exclusive supplier to national railway
bureau and local steel giant like POSTEEL and Dongbu Steel, etc. with that product. Powered by a
rapid growth of a market for probe for bone density measurement, our medical ultrasonic transducer
is expanding its share in our revenue portfolio.
In the meantime, from four years ago we started to turn our eyes to an emerging robot market.
We have developed a group of ultrasonic sensor/module for intelligent robot which is used for
obstacle detection and avoidance, and a localization sensor/module, a navigation technology
which shows - where robot is, and where robot is going, in the most sophisticated way we have ever
Seen.
Hagisonic has won numerous awards, certifications & approvals for innovation and technology and
is the best company of its kind in Korea. We are also a member company of government (Ministry of
Information & Telecommunication-MIC)-led Ubiquitous Robotic Companion Development Center.
